Documentary from 1998 until 2020 demonstrating how specialized conditioning with Spinnex Vitality can produce extraordinary results at any age. I competed in four national competitions and earned a medal in all four national competitions, because I was the better conditioned athlete. All of my matches were with opponents 14-25 years younger than me. How is that possible? Well, I frequently ask myself. In fact, I will admit that all of my opponents were technically better than me, stronger than me, faster than me, and had more time training than me. The only differential I can attribute to my success, is the fact that I was the most conditioned athlete in my division.

When an athlete gets tired or gassed out as we call it, fear, anxiety, and lactic acid will cripple both the mind and body. At that point, I began to take over the matches because my lactic acid threshold was higher than most of, if not all of my opponents and that allowed me to score points and submissions. One of the coaches at Renzo Gracie NYC who I conditioned put it this way. He said he would rather coach an okay fighter who is willing to get in great shape, rather than a great athlete relying on natural talent and not willing to put the work in to get in great shape. I was the okay fighter who was willing to get in great shape.

Thank you Josh Griffiths from Clockwork BJJ NYC, who gave me a gift. He custom designed a “mantra” for me. It went like this:

  • I am the most conditioned athlete in my division.
  • I am the only athlete in my division that trains with younger opponents.
  • I will impose my will on anyone that stands before me.
