Sinopse
Effie has always loved the forest. She is just a typical young woman, with an ordinary job and an ordinary life. She lives in a small town surrounded by woods. These woods are where she finds inspiration for the art she creates. Dragons, elves, swords, and shields. A mighty war being waged, with only her imagination and a canvas to craft it.
And she always seems to draw the same elf when she goes out to create; she doesn't know why. But a name has always stuck out to her, even when she has never heard it before in her life.
Kirinti.
In her paintings, this elf was the hero. The unsung craftsman who was lower in the ranks of the elves, but fought nonetheless. It was sad to her when she finished the final painting in his story. She had been painting him for years, alongside a girl she had never named, but always thought of as herself. They had fought dragons, dwarves, monsters, and man, until they came against the lord of the forest.
Effie had never really felt control of the art when she painted him. And now, as she painted his final piece, she found him being pierced through the heart on the canvas.
She couldn't help but cry as she ran home with the canvas, to her small little hut just on the outskirts of the trees.
She placed it with the other hundreds of paintings depicting Kirinti's life. And then, with a heavy heart, she went to sleep.
The next morning, she wakes to find every last painting missing. To see her life's work vanish like that... It almost pushed her over the edge. She ran outside, about to scream to the heavens for her paintings.
But she stopped.
For laying in the grass about a hundred meters away is a person.
And as she moves toward him slowly, she realized something that almost makes her faint.
She sprints to him.
She looks to him in awe.
She bends down to look at him as Kirinti opens his eyes.
