'I loved this rural police thriller set in the small village of Fortbridge with engaging characters, witty dialogue and a fast-paced addictive plot. DS Alice Washington is a troubled but likeable detective sergeant tasked with finding the stalker of a local novelist with a tragic past. I was immediately drawn in by the well-drawn cast of characters and found myself racing to the end towards the twisty and satisfying conclusion.
