Sobre este áudio
Ark for a Perilous Time is a tale of a school rooted in ancient mystery traditions and The Fourth Way of G. I. Gurdjieff (G). A teaching is placed in the hands of a future generation to protect humanity at large. An advanced society faces collapse from the inside, but by saving itself, it may save the outside world as well.
The story within has been crafted as science fiction and blended with ideas from G's most well-known student, P.D. Ouspensky and is reminiscent of G's own "Beelzebub's Tales to His Grandson." Students familiar with "Fragments of an Unknown Teaching" may find the diagrams inside remarkably helpful in assimilating Ouspensky and G's written works. Additionally it introduces a unified astrological and tarot divination system addressing a method for separating essence from personality and uncovering patterns of recurrence in one's own life. It aims to be what G referred to as a different kind of astrology and aid in an impartial methodology for center-of-gravity-focused work with one's peers also striving for their instinctual need for self-perfecting.
Whether a student of The Fourth Way, alchemy, or a lover of spiritual ideas, this book has something for everyone. The characters within are empathetic to the needs of the human condition but also understand the hazards of habituation to life and the hypnosis it creates. They face plots of betrayal, exciting encounters with ethereal beings, and a paradigm shift in knowledge. They find hope in the stories of those that have paved the way for them to achieve their birthright of conscious ascension, though not first before seeing that they have fallen asleep to their pride and ignorance. Met with the dire situation of the collapse of their society, will it be enough to awaken them long enough to prepare their Ark for a Perilous Time?
