Sobre este áudio
The Christmas story has never been told...quite like this!
This is Joseph’s love story - the love he has for his Mary, and for his son, Jesus.
Sit back comfortably with your family, or maybe drive out to Gramma and Grampa's house, and listen to the original Christmas story from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, but from the close-up perspective of Joseph, who lived that story.
In this historical fiction theatrical production, we listen to Joseph as he tells the story of:
- What it was like to be so close to the amazing woman Mary
- How he first met his Mary, and his first impressions of her
- How his love for her grew so deep after months of long walks and talks with her
- The courage it took for him, an older man of humble means, to ask Mary’s father for her hand in marriage
- His instant plunge into despair on learning she was with child
- His sudden elation at the visit of the angel in his sleep, and his hurried nighttime return to Mary in the middle of the night
- Their journey through the snow to Bethlehem for the census, and their discussions about the challenge of raising the Son of God
- His panic as he scrambled to find nighttime lodging as Mary is about to give birth
- The miraculous wonder of the birth of their son in a stable
We thank you so very much for your purchase of this audiobook. Your contribution makes our ongoing theatrical efforts as Scripture on Stage possible. May God bless you abundantly, and...a very merry Christmas to you.
Please note that this is act one of a two-act production. Act II, coming in Feb 2020, will have Joseph tell of the visit of the humble shepherds, then of three wealthy, mystical strangers from the East, of their presentation of their newborn Son for circumcision, and then later in the Jerusalem Temple for his dedication to the Lord. It is there they will learn of the danger of King Herod who is seeking to put an end to the rumored "newborn King" from Bethlehem, ending in their narrow escape to Egypt.
