Sobre este áudio
The story follows Luna, a 10-year-old girl, and six other children who each endure physical abuse, neglect, and emotional abandonment at the hands of their parents. Luna’s journey of escape becomes the catalyst for the children coming together to form a makeshift family. Central to their union is a small brown toy poodle named Basil, who leads them from their broken homes towards freedom and healing.
As the children confront the dark reality of their abuse, the story delves deep into their painful experiences, showing how each child's parent’s cruelty leaves scars. The narrative also highlights the failures of the systems that were meant to protect them—their school, social workers, and the police. Despite the challenges, the children find hope in their bond with one another and with Basil, who becomes their symbol of courage and resilience.
Their journey takes a turn when Basil leads them to a compassionate, wealthy couple who, unable to have children of their own, offer the ultimate salvation by adopting all seven. This couple’s kindness and faith become a beacon of hope for the children, showing them that love, care, and healing are possible.
Throughout the story, the children also remain connected by the school they all attend, where the influence of their abusive parents and the indifference of the school system are portrayed in their daily struggles. Together, they reclaim their stolen childhoods, confront their pasts, and discover that even in the darkest of circumstances, there can be light.
