Sobre este áudio
At present in much of the United States, terminally ill patients do not have the option to choose a dignified death. So instead of being given a shot by a physician that would allow them a quick end, some patients starve to death as the digestive tract is one of the first systems to shut down during the dying process. This starvation period can last a long time - two months in the case of my grandmother. This book shows the detailed experience of what it was like to watch my loving grandmother slowly starve to death and begin to hallucinate. It is also a call for establishing death-with-dignity legislation. We have the power to treat our terminally ill patients better.
