Sinopse
For the past fifteen years, Richard has been filming people, recording interviews with people talking to people offstage via hypnotherapy, mediumship or via guided meditation. In this book, he revisits all the times that people have claimed to experience, see, learn new information from beings off planet that they characterize as "Aliens."
Sometimes via Jennifer Shaffer, a medium who works with law enforcement agencies nationwide, Richard interviews people offstage - including physicists who have left the stage (Stephen Hawking, Carl Sagan) as well as psychiatrists and scientists who have left the stage (John E Mack, J Allen Hynek) peppering these interviews with personal accounts from people who were "visited by aliens" or who had an experience seeing them on their "council" or seeing them during a guided meditation or via hypnosis. He focuses on "new information" that could not be cryptomnesia, or remembered from some book, film or conversation.
There are interviews with people who recall "incarnating on other planets" interviews with people who recall being taken aboard a UFO; in those instances, Richard has them do a simple guided mediation to ask if it's possible to "interview the pilot of this craft." By doing so, people report the same mind bending hallmarks, of why aliens have come to visit these people, how they claim to have known them "before they incarnated" how their "close encounter of the third kind" is actually more akin to a "close encounter of the flipside kind" - because these people claim that they've known the "aliens" before they even chose to be on the planet.
There's no other way to put this kind of research into context except to say "It's mind bending." People report the same things - that "we are all aliens" because "we all choose to come here from elsewhere" - he cites the reports from the Michael Newton Institute that report "over 35% of the reports from people worldwide include memories of lifetimes off planet." In the instances where an "alien" shows up on someone's council, Richard asks them the same questions he asks all the council members, including whether they can "show the person who is seeing them" the memory of what it was like incarnating on that planet.
In short, it's a book that touches upon the mythology of Alien visitation, at the same time recounting data from researchers that include present day visitations, includes interviews with the "aliens themselves" to see if they say the same things or different things to the person who is seeing them and "hearing" the answers. Some of these interviews were done live on the radio (With Heather Wade who accesses her old friend Art Bell) with Simon Bown during his podcast where he recounts for the first time being abducted, and then an interview with the "gray alien" who brought him aboard the ship, who talks in depth about where he's from, how he is manufactured AI sent to accomplish a task that will help another civilization, and how these events were "agreed to before Simon incarnated."
The author ties together stories learned from mediumship, stories from hypnotherapy sessions, stories from guided meditation, along with scientists and their research into the flipside; including his old "science mentor" J. Allen Hynek, who supplies an unusual perspective. (Also a fun interview with his son Paul Hynek, who taps into his father's sense of humor during a guided meditation.) From his background as a filmmaker, both fiction films and documentaries, Richard digs deeply into the subject matter, which, as Gary Schwartz PhD wrote in the foreword to his first book FLIPSIDE, "this is the kind of book where once you've read it, you'll never see the world in the same way again."
