Sobre este áudio
A whimsical title for a serious subject might shock the cautious…. but listen on. Kellerman asks new questions! He takes a “phantasmagorical, anthropomorphic, and even sublime stance” regarding his examination of Covid’s existential yearning. Analogizing from human emotions and planting his hypothesis firmly in the Freudian “wish,” Kellerman endows the virus with volition, feelings, purpose, and persistence, in attempts to establish a gratifying ‘attachment bond.’
Assigning feelings to a virus may appear questionable but Kellerman delves into the science of DNA and RNA and into cutting-edge research merging microbiology with semiotics, claiming in an evolutionary sense that the signs of life apply to all vital things, including cells and viruses. He answers his original question, “what is the virus’s wish," by translating into human psychological traits how the virus tries to get its survival need for ‘validation.’
