Sinopse
Jay and Sophie have been dating for a couple of years, but Jay’s friendship with Ellie has always been a source of friction. No matter how many times Jay insists that they’re just friends (despite his secret, years long crush), Sophie won’t budge.
“I don't understand why your friends have to include so many girls” she said, spitting the words venomously.
“Well I don't know why you're so insecure that you can't handle me being friends with girls” said Jay, the words out of his mouth before he could stop himself. He knew immediately that he'd gone too far.
“Well, you keep picking her over me” said Sophie, a final note her voice. “And I've had enough of it. We are over. We are through.” Jay opened his mouth to say something but didn't know what, and the words wouldn't come. “You can get out” said Sophie. “Out. Go and stay with one of your girlfriends that you like so much.”
“Wait” Jay said, and belatedly realized that he didn't really have a come back to that.
“I mean it” said Sophie, her eyes narrowing as she spoke. “Go on. If you want to be one of the girls so much, then get out of my house.”
Jay find himself crashing at Ellie’s apartment, and the next morning, he wakes up feeling weird. Weirder than can be explained by just a breakup. Jay has to wonder...were Sophie’s final words some sort of curse?
There’s no time to investigate though, because Jay and Ellie are supposed to be at a birthday party today. Jay doesn’t know if she’s more afraid that everyone will recognize her, or no one will. And all the while, she is trying to work out why Ellie is behaving so differently around her as well.
