Sobre este áudio
From the Author of "The Killing of Train-Man Brown", "Then Her Wig Fell Off", "Send Me a Friend", "Young Turk", "Slow Foreplay on a Fast Bus", and many, many other stories, comes... "I'm Gone." The Life, Death, and Funeral of Blues Legend Jerry "Boogie" McCain
Jerry "Boogie" McCain was one of the last of the old Blues Musicians. He had three ways he could kill you. The best was with that blues harp. You don't want to know about the other two. I was fortunate enough to live in the same town as him and to talk with him just weeks before he died. This is what I know of him, and of his life, death, and funeral. I went to the funeral, and followed him all the way to his last resting place. By doing so I was present when the most important thing about Boogie was made known. Join me as I take you from the street corners of Gadsden, Alabama where he grew up and learned to play the harp after hearing Little Walter, to the red clay he was buried in, in April 2012...and learn of all the great blues music that came in between. Til that day when he said for the last time..."I'm Gone."
