Sobre este áudio
Mange is a problem for many dogs in the United States and other parts of the world. It is categorized by its main symptom, shedding in dogs, but is the result of the bites and infestation of four different species of mites. Because this disease can also impact a dog's hearing, it is incredibly important to both prevent the disease and control it should the dog have an outbreak. The audiobook walks the dog owner through the various types of mites which can infect a dog and cause hot spots and mange, as well as, the various treatments for dogs and puppies.
"I think it's safe to say that we all love our dogs," says author Devan Soh. "The statistics on pet ownership in the United States alone is staggering. Close to half of all households have a dog or cat living in them at one point. When it comes to something like manage, which is not only uncomfortable for the pet, but also can create an unhealthy living space for humans, most pet owners want to be proactive about it. What I tried to do with this book was explain how they get manage, and how it is different than other skin conditions which cause shedding, and then try to present the pluses and minuses to treatment options."
The book details how to tell the difference between the various mites, how they affect the dog, and what remedies are effective in getting rid of them. It talks about oral medications, injected therapies like doramectin, dips, baths, and when to treat and when it may be best to allow it to work itself out of the system naturally.
