Sinopse
Joining us at Audible Studios is award winning actress and national treasure, Miriam Margolyes.
Born in Oxford and educated in Cambridge, Margolyes has been gracing the stage, screen and radio waves for over half a century. She has won BAFTA awards, appeared in movies from Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet to playing Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter series. She was honoured with an OBE in 2002 for her services to drama. She is noted as one of Britain's finest voices, narrating many audiobooks to international acclaim such as Matilda, The Queen and I and, by her favourite author Charles Dickens, Great Expectations and Oliver Twist.
Though she might be remembered for her occasional profanity on air, or crude outburst, Miriam is also loved for her theatrical skill. We'll be asking Miriam Margolyes about her new book, and second memoir, Oh Miriam! We will find out what her most important life lessons are, what she thinks of being called a national treasure, and things will get a little lewd as we discuss how she loves to see people’s reactions.
