Sobre este áudio
Listening to this audiobook together with your children will be one of the best things you will ever do for them to help them succeed in finances in life. Some of the best things in life may be free, but most of them cost money. Buying toys, sweets, food, clothes, going to the movies, and renting video games etc...all cost money. While our ancestors may have traded to receive much of what they needed today, we use cash.
Adults know that the dime is more valuable than the larger nickel and dime, but this can be difficult for children to understand. Hence, the first step in learning money and finance is understanding what money is about. Money is any medium of exchange with which goods and services can be paid for and the value of things measured. Currency is a term for money in circulation, i.e., coins and banknotes.
The two most important skills children need to know about money, and the sooner, the better, are identifying money, offering money, and making a change. They are unlikely to learn these skills in school as most schools focus on math rather than money. One expert suggested that kids can start learning about money once they're old enough not to put it in their mouth - you know your child better than anyone, so you know when to start.
Let's give our children an advantage we did not have by teaching them money and finances at a young age by giving them the knowledge and education they need to know now in order to become financially responsible successful individuals.
