Sinopse
A World War Two top secret, bold and daring, dangerous mission to attempt to capture Adolf Hitler alive and bring him back to England
This book possesses a hypothetical idea of what would have ended up happening if the Allies had been actually able to successfully find and then capture Adolf Hitler in June of 1941. And then get him back to England in one piece. And then as a result of his capture, what the ramifications would have been if they had been successful, what would have been the outcome of this on both the Allies and the Axis powers, with the absence of Hitler at the helm of Germany and the course of the rest of the war for them.
This book is about Operation Falcon. This was a top-secret covert mission to capture Adolf Hitler while he was visiting the newly finished Wolf Lair, his secret, very secure, newly finished hideout situated in Poland. He was visiting just days after the invasion of the Soviet Union in Operation Barbarossa.
His capture was helped with the assistance of high-ranking Nazi general and his loyal men who had desired to get Hitler out of power. They felt that he was destroying their country, especially with the invasion of the Soviet Union. For months, a Nazi general had been worked with SOE operatives.
Then, after his capture, what became of Hitler as he was being held as a highly secure prisoner back in England, at an undisclosed top-secret base? This secret, very dangerous mission was carried out by SOE agents, which would be equivalent to the British version of the modern-day CIA. This audacious mission was ordered by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. His hope for ordering such a daring mission, his motivation, was to have the Germans sue for peace. Not to mention he wanted to see Hitler hanged for his crimes.
After the covert operation, the Allies carried out several more operations to try to deceive the Germans. As a result of removing Hitler from the picture, World War Two in Europe took a strange turn.
