Sinopse
The greatest mage the world has ever known has touched an evil that left him with a dark passenger, a voice he can't shake, along with a bloodlust he cannot deny. He unleashes his powers on every clan and magic school, believing that to eradicate magic is the only way to save the world from the awakening of dragons.
Enter a generation born with magic in their blood. An unstoppable villain must face a generation of mages born with arcane power in their veins and the collision of forces creates a pause-resister that will capture the imagination of anyone with a beating heart and a taste for the fantastic.
“You're a monster,” Sarai breathed, rising from the Earth, charging with her weapons.
Hoth lifted his hand and held her in place with his mind. “I'm the savior of the earth.” He walked slowly away from the gorgeous healer. Her shoulders were barely bleeding now, though she had spent much of her will fueling her husband's magic arsenal, she still had the strength to recover from her wounds.
Hoth found her husband's hand and tasted the blood. The new spells surged through him, exhilarated his every fiber. He shook as if a glorious chill had gone through his spine. “You're sick!” Sarai rasped, spitting in his direction.
“Yes, sick of your pitiful voice,” he replied, closing his eyes and calling forth the creature, the water dragon that had nearly finished him. The air around the pair was electric, and then, as before, a massive, flowing water and ice dragon filled the sky with its graceful beauty.
“That's impossible. Only Joan knows of that magic,” Sarai gaped, taking in the magnificent view of the clear dragon.
Hoth smiled as he felt the connection with the noble beast. He commanded it to rip the woman in half, and then, hopping into the air, he rode into the sky on the back of a created dragon.
