Sobre este áudio
Several large, well-known insurance carriers have begun raising insurance costs on large blocks of senior and elder-owned life insurance policies to make up for underperforming investment portfolios. These rate increases have increased the percentage of lapse on a massive scale and in most cases can be detected and adjusted for to save the policy.
Many policy owners have turned to the settlement market to monetize these contracts, which has created a boom in the settlement space, a market that generally lacks transparency or representation for the seller and their beneficiaries.
This short report will provide you with an overview of this slow-moving disaster and what you can do to insulate your clients from losing their policies or being taken advantage of in the settlement space.
I have written this guide to clarify the many misunderstandings about the life settlement industry, both past and present. It is my hope that those who invest the approximate hour needed to listen to it will see that the life settlement business has an important place in the future of their practice.
I, along with a small peer group, am endeavoring to shine a spotlight on a side of the settlement and life insurance space that has remained in the shadows too long. Ultimately my goal in presenting this text is to affect change and provide higher ethical standards for this segment of the wealthy, elderly senior demographic. The modest price of this guide is to recoup the cost to print and distribute it among planning professionals.
