Sobre este áudio
Their performance will reflect an image of you as a leader.
Leaders are measured by their team’s performance as well as the performance of their individual members. The team’s morale, discipline, efficiency, and performance are a reflection of their leader’s influence and effectiveness.
If you suck, they will suck. Worse yet, if they perform and behave nothing like you, they’re not yours and someone else is influencing them.
Conversely, when you consistently demonstrate and uphold high standards, so will your team. Everyone wants to be on a great team and have a good time. Maintain alignment with your people, teams, bosses, customers, and suppliers.
As a Leader you are always accountable to someone for the performance of your team. If you’re the owner, your customers, suppliers, and employees will judge and hold you accountable. They will leave your team or business if you consistently fail to perform well.
Also remember, it’s not about you. It is always about the team, the business, the customer, the role, and the responsibility. It’s also about sharing the experiences and treasures that only come from chasing and overcoming dragons.
One measure of a person is by the caliber of people they choose to follow.~ Chris G. Gillette
Near the end of Marine Corps Recruit Training our Drill Instructor gave the platoon some essential advice. Actually, it was more like a direct order.
“When you report to your first duty station, find the best Marines in your unit and model yourself after them. You must learn to follow before you can lead.”
