Sinopse
Akeeba Bledsoe has been dealt a bad hand for the past few years. With the lack of money, trying to take care of her mom, and attend school, she felt like she’d never see the light at the end of the tunnel. Not to mention, her job as a waitress at the Tasty Peach Gentleman’s Club was in jeopardy. With everything going wrong in her life, the last thing on her mind was a man. That was until the night she met Jason Knight.
The last thing Jason wanted to do was go to a strip club. He wasn't up for hanging out with his younger brother, Joshua, and his rowdy friends. Since it was a big night for Joshua, as he celebrated his birthday and a new business venture, Jason obliged him. The one good outcome of his night was meeting Akeeba. However, being used to getting what and who he wanted because of his good looks, street cred, and his CEO status in a corporate business, Jason was taken aback and turned on when Akeeba shut down his advances.
When tragedy strikes Akeeba’s life, the last person she expects to come to her aid is Jason Knight. He scoops in and becomes her knight in shining armor, showering her with care, protection, and most of all, love. She quickly falls for him, and their burning desire for each other leaves a blazing heat neither of them ever expected.
But with love comes pain, and with pain comes suffering. In their bubble of love, those around them want to burst it. Will the electrifying passion and love they share for each other win over the forces of hate, jealousy, and envy from those closest to them?
