Sobre este áudio
There are stories about ethics, integrity, putting your people first, doing what's right, disobeying illegal orders, and assignment choices. Listen to this book now, it's well worth your time.
This is truly the good, bad, and ugly of Army officership. If you are starting out as an Army officer, this series is a must listen. Forget the fiction. These stories are real and address real issues. The type stories of Army life, contained in Volume I, continue with publication of Soldier Stories (Volume II). In this book, you will live the experiences and challenges of an Army officer who climbed the chain of command and served his country for over 27 years. In those years are many experiences. Some good and some bad. The author addresses several issues that may be faced by today's officers and noncommissioned officers. If you need a great book to read, if you aspire to serve in the Army, or if you are serving in the Army now and are yourself and emerging leader, you will benefit from this book. It is not boring. It's a pause-resister that you will not want to put down.
Soldier Stories (Volume II) is for young officers and noncommissioned officers, and it makes a great gift for anyone interested in military life. All the stories are true. In some cases, the names have been changed, but every story is true. I hope you will take the time to listen to these stories. Some are shocking, some are funny, and some will leave you wondering how this now-retired Lieutenant Colonel ever made it to retirement.
Within this book, you will indeed find "the good stuff" that you will not find any place else. And after each chapter you will find a series of questions. So, if you are leading an ethics or leadership class, these stories make excellent teaching stories that are followed by discussions of how your officers would handle this situation and if it was handled well by the author. Once you pick up this book, you will not want to put it down.
