Sinopse
Have you ever experienced the terror of being stuck in space, completely alone? Have you ever been kidnapped? Have you ever thought about the possibility that something is in your house, moving things around, and you don't know what it is? Do you have a gnawing fear that your life isn't amounting to anything, and you're running out of time to make it mean something? Do you worry that you might be falsely accused of something terrible and have your entire life disappear before your very eyes? Or perhaps you've had a thought that you might have to take care of a loved one after a terrible accident and find out that you can't handle it, but this is your life now.
Somnium Dementus is a collection of short stories exploring themes of traditional creature feature horror, as well as the psychological dread of modern existence, karma, and simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is the distillation of the thoughts had in the darkest part of the night, when all the confidence and rationality has disappeared from your brain, when the primal part of you that hungers for survival cries out that something is wrong, the hair on the back of your neck stands at attention, and there is electricity in the air around you, and yet, you can't see or hear anything out of the ordinary. Do you trust that instinct? Do you turn on a light to offer the artifice of sanctuary? Or do you push into the darkness to investigate?
