Chapter One: Take Care of You!
"The best thing a mom can possibly do is take care of herself. We need to put ourselves first if we expect ourselves to take care of other beings. This is something I have had to practice the past 5 years doing to finally master my routine. Everyone has their self-care routines that work for them or as my father likes to call it “recipe for happiness”. Once you learn what yours are you will be able to consciously make time for yourself, and make sure to prioritize yourself. A lot of moms do not even realize they go about their day just taking care of others whether that is doing dishes, laundry, changing diapers, feeding, cooking, cleaning, bathing, the list goes on and on. Moms are way over worked, and we do not get a 9-5 job like most, our job is 24/7 and that comes with added stresses. What I am going to tell you will help you to become the best version of yourself for you and everyone around you. These are things I wish someone had told me when I was new being a mom, let alone a single mom".
