Sinopse
Newlyweds Cora and Archie Thorogood return to his family’s English mansion to start their life together. As Archie’s sister Evelyn, and her fiancée, Roger, prepare for their wedding day, this may be the right time for Cora to impress the family—provided nothing goes wrong.
But disaster seems to follow Cora everywhere. After meeting Roger, Cora considers him a splendid choice for Evelyn. Despite this, none of the Thorogood men approve of Roger, and saw him as an ill-advised choice for Evelyn. As Cora looks closer at this inconsistency, the suspense increases when someone discovers a dead body in the mansion.
Cora, along with Archie, and her magical friends, Arve and Ola, investigate and try to discover the murderer. With help from Archie’s grandmother Elizabeth, and the Prince Iknokman, she must deal with Inspector Bevan from Scotland Yard, who unhappily remembers her from a previous murder investigation. Her new mother-in-law is not pleased to welcome Cora, an American, into her family. In addition to that, someone in the house is stealing the Thorogood’s precious items. Will Cora and Archie find the murderer? Will Inspector Bevan arrest the two for interfering with the law? And will Iknokman be the thief’s next prize?
