Sobre este áudio
The world is a very different place than it once was. Nobody could have anticipated this global pandemic, and everybody on this planet has felt the changes we’ve faced on a very personal level. As you try to navigate through this “new normal” that has been brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, remind yourself that we as a society are resilient. Though this is the first challenge of this caliber in our generation, think about the strength of those who came before us.
World War II was the deadliest military conflict to date. An estimated total of 70-85 million people lost their lives in this war - about three percent of the world’s population in 1940. Despite the tremendous damage to the infrastructure of many cities in Europe and Japan, the world recovered and even saw a great period of economic promise post-World War II. There were great leaders that, through their experiences and innovation, set the stage for that great recovery. I personally believe that as a people our resolve is even greater now, and we will get through this pandemic that now feels extremely troublesome.
The new normal has launched itself right in front of our eyes. It is here right now; whether you like it or not, this is just the beginning of something that is not going anywhere, anytime soon. We as a society must embrace it and courageously move forward in it to the best of our abilities. Yes, this does mean that there are going to be changes in lives, because change is a constant in life. As this change evolves, remind yourself of who you are and what you stand for. Though your character may be tested in this process, know that this testing will only serve to strengthen you in your mind, body, and soul.
I want you to say it loud right now. “I am not a quitter, I don’t give up, and I am more than a conqueror.” With this confession and your newfound strength, we as a collective can earnestly fight this battle against this new faceless enemy, COVID-19. What you are going to experience in this book I trust will inform you and encourage you as you enter the new normal.
