Sinopse
Josephine “Joey” Sheffield returns to her hometown of Cornish, Alabama, after a 15-year absence for what she believes is the funeral of a sexually abusive father that she despised. Shortly after her arrival, Joey becomes suspicious about the true reason she was lured home when evidence, and strange occurrences inside Sheffield Manor lead her to believe that not only is her father, Macarthur Sheffield, not dead, but he’s still living inside the house.
When Joey accidentally uncovers a long-hidden family secret that involves her past and history, she realizes she has been summoned back to Cornish through a deceitful lie, voluntarily walking into a deliberate trap concocted by someone more vile and eviler than her father - her mother, Helen Sheffield, a woman full of hatred for Joey, and with a plan to exact her revenge on the daughter she sees as the one who permanently stained the Sheffield name. But Helen couldn't have arranged the setup without help. Exactly how involved in the scheme are her two sisters, and what leverage did Helen use to convince them to assist in her vicious plot?
