In this the newest and final installment in the Jackson Stafford series, the listener is seated in the Editor-in-Chief's office listening to Jacob and Ron defend their sources about the Pandora Project. Claude, the courier is away from the tunnel, through the parameter gate, and away from death. Don and Nancy at the NSA are unsealing a court document about the candidate revealing all.

Joe Singletary has made the call to betray the Project, but the assassins are on their way to take him out. Jess and Walt, the two fisherman, confront their future as the cryotubes are readied. Januari Winters, a main character from book 1, On the Verge, has been reintroduced into the story line. Her emergence signals a major shift in the story filled with doorways to unknown adventures. A mystical doorway has opened in her home where she is confronting an intruder, someone she's known in the past. She and Dr. "A" will give Jackson Stafford the ability walk through many doorways, especially the Backdoor within the inner-room. Game over!
