Sinopse
Mollitor Longley was just diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and given 30 days to live. He decides not to chase a miracle cure, but embarks on an illuminating journey to find meaning in the human condition. At first, Mollitor, 39, is devastated and regrets that he never took risks, that his life has been safe and uninspiring. After his prognosis, he relinquishes control and acts on every impulse. He succumbs to his anger and recklessly confronts everyday injustices.
He befriends flawed and dysfunctional characters while exploring the seedy, underground temptations of the city. He visits a massage parlor, robs a bank, but his risks also ignite a courage to become vulnerable. He falls in love, volunteers for the SPCA, Children's Literacy, and discovers a passion for art, food, and nature. While finding new reasons to live, he is fully aware that he could die at any moment. His anxiety becomes so overwhelming that he contemplates suicide and even murder.
As his final days tick away, Mollitor furiously clings to life in the face of his impending collision with fate. My book is important because I have progressive MS. As the world inside and outside of me changes, I need to face what I can and cannot control and what I've done and may never do again. This theme will resonate with people who are drawn to complex characters who contemplate life, mortality, and choice.
