Sobre este áudio
It’s a tale as old as time; it’s a tale that is at least as old as our focus on the safety of work. Something broke; something got busted; something blew up; someone got hurt; a piece of equipment tripped; we discovered a new problem; there was smoke; there was fire; there was carnage; it was bad! Something bad and unexpected happened at work, and we jump to “fix the problem”.
But have we ever stopped to really think through what is important? What matters? What we can influence, and what we should try to influence? Have we taken the time to ponder if our “fixes” actually fix?
In Sam Goodman’s latest book, he discusses just that. What the f--k is deeply meaningful, important, or vital? What is critical to creating safe (or at least safer) outcomes, what promotes learning and betterment, and, ultimately, what actually makes the world a better place to work?
