  • The new EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 will replace the existing Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, which has been legally valid since 29 December 2009. It was published in the Official Journal on 29 June 2023 and will enter into force with legally binding effect in January 2027. Manufacturers and operators now have time to deal with the new Machinery Regulation. You can find out what changes are to be expected in the Pilz Podcast. This much can already be revealed: If you compare automation and mechanical engineering today with the requirements and technologies of 14 years ago, it becomes clear that the revision is more than sensible. Digitisation and networking, as well as the associated new topics of Industrial Security and Artificial Intelligence, have greatly changed factory floors and the machines and plants they contain.
