Few names are more evocative of the vibe of early fandom music than PinkiePieSwear. Looking through the comments sections of his videos and in the comments I got when I announced on twitter this interview was happening, again and again I saw messages that tracks like Flutterwonder and Sunshine and Celery Stalks take them back to the start of their journey in the fandom, and that they wouldn’t be bronies without them. So much of the fandoms musical style, even to this day, can trace its DNA back to PinkiePieSwear's mastery of vocal chop lyricism, video editing and tight production and the more you listen the more you'll hear.

In his first interaction with the fandom for many years, Matt R aka PinkiePieSwear tells all, including his journey through the fandom, the stories behind the inspiration for his biggest hits and what he's been up to since leaving pony. If you've been rinsing his tracks for more than a decade, or if this interview is your first time hearing them (!!! where have you been??!!) its a great listen.

Big shoutout to Iron Curtain for helping me track down PPS-wouldn't have happened without you

  • Francis Vace

Todays guest is another fellow aussie whose been cooking up delicious tracks for the fandom since January of 2013. His music spans the whole spectrum of emotions from comedic, fun and bouncy vibes to some of the most heartfelt and gut wrenching lyricism and tone you’ll hear around, all while giving a new spin on the canon of the show and its community. He’s perfomed solo, been part of bands and done Live PA sets at conventions over the years, and released many tracks on Ponies @ Dawn with both Australian and international collaborators. He’s a gun on his guitar, he’s made me bawl my eyes out at every convention I’ve seen him perform at and he has the spiffiest beard in the fandom, and his name is Francis Vace!

Go and show Francis some love for coming on the show:
