Lowell Norman's work with John Denver started with a one-time assignment in Akron, Ohio, when Lowell was 23 years old. Here he tells his first meeting with the iconic singer/songwriter and what his starting role as part of John's concert tour in 1974.

Lowell Norman started working for John Denver when he was 23 with a one-time assignment in Ohio that turned into a 25-year adventure that took him around the world with the iconic singer/songwriter. He created visual content for John's concerts, designed album covers and eventually produced and directed music videos and documentary films for John's non-profit Windstar Foundation. Along the way he took a lot of pictures. Some of those photos and stories will be a part of his forthcoming Rocky Mountain Highway: Stories, Photos & Other Memories of My 25 Years Traveling with John Denver. In anticipation of the book, Lowell's doing a series of podcast episodes where he shares many of his stories about his years being in John's orbit.
