    Your life is precious and valuable, and you are gifted with what nurtures you daily, in fact in every moment. Without the abundance we receive from the natural environment life would not survive. Take time for yourself today to reflect, listen, and reciprocate the generosity received from the Earth in this gentle meditation, "Love Letters to the Earth."

    With a brief reflection on a short poem by Thich Nhat Hanh, "Beloved Mother of All Things" we ground ourselves in our meditation. As you feel grounded and connected, you may move deeper into your meditation and find inspiration to write your own love letter to the earth, or to sing your soulful song, or perhaps paint a colorful mental image of your love and appreciation.

    We each have a relationship with the Earth that is invaluable, as you explore your relationship, you may find your calm, your presence, and an understanding of the gifts you offer to the Earth.

    What would you reclaim? There may be times when we are aware of what we want to reclaim, and other times, we are reminded by an experience of what we may have lost or forgotten.

    The act of reclaim could be about a part of your self-identity or a state of being that is precious, valuable and key to who you are. We each long to be whole, healthy and free and the human spirit holds an inspiring ability to reclaim what is most important.

    This meditation was recorded for a special event at the Meditation 719 studio in Colorado Springs and is an offering for you to connect with what you would like to reclaim.

    **This meditation is available with two different soundtracks.

    1. Music to promote a relaxed, contemplative, and inward meditative focus.

    2. Music to promote a more active, thoughtful, and outward meditative focus.

    If you are feeling experimental, try one and take notes on how you feel, what type of awareness came to you and then after some time has passed, I suggest at least a day or up to a week, listen to the second version and take notes again.     The mind and heart connections are like this as well. Where is your focus? What holds the most power and do you feel balanced? Are you able to listen to clear direction from both the heart and the mind? Sometimes we may not realize how tightly we may be holding on to one over the other. This meditation is to bring balance to the heart and the mind, to bring clarity, direction and to allow these two guiding forces within us to work more collaboratively.
