• A 100% oxygen atmosphere isn't going to work.

• SPORE can be used anywhere we can dig underground.
• A location with metal-oxides is preferable so Homesteaders can use the oxygen to pressurize the SPORE work area and use the metal to create the habitat pressure hulls.
• SPORE can be modified to work with a variety of metal oxides.
• While some locations will be more difficult than others, humanity can make a home anywhere in the Solar system.
• Orbital settlements will be the pinnacle of space settlement tech. With them we can fill up the Solar system with life.
• Spaceships, while cool, are not needed for a Solar civilization. All we need are orbital settlements and a little patience.

• Most of the Lunar resources are bound up in rocks. Homesteaders are going to have to be miners to get them.
• While the current paradigm focuses on the regolith; the mega-regolith is a better place for resource extraction.
• The current paradigm focuses on surfacing mining, an activity that comes with a lot of challenges.
• SPORE focuses on mining the mega-regolith, avoiding the problematic regolith above.
• Human miners are a better option than robots. We can use humans now instead of waiting more decades for Lunar mining robots.
• Humans using Lunar-made hand tools might be a viable option for Lunar settlement creation.

• Engineering equipment to operate in vacuum is difficult and expensive.
