  • Sleeping Buddha podcast inspires your sleep and contains soothing elements to help you go to sleep naturally & fast. Recordings of nature sounds, made during my excursions in nature, form the center of the podcast. The high quality audio recordings, encompass the full audible spectrum of sound for maximum effect. Sounds of nature cause the basic attitudinal network in the brain to be activated in such a way that we can let our thoughts run free, be more attentive and at the same time reduce stress. The good night stories serve as fantasy journeys and help to switch off mentally in the evening in bed. Fantasy journeys are guided daydreams in which both adults and children learn to associate and develop ideas in their imagination, sometimes to solve problems and achieve goals. They are designed to help relieve stress, create inner balance, and encourage imagination and creativity. You will learn techniques to positively influence your sleep through breathing and awareness exercises. The Sleeping Buddha Method is guided by the S3 Guideline for Restorative Sleep and implements the key elements of cognitive behavioral therapy in the podcast. I provide information on healthy sleep, explain the causes of sleep problems and show treatment options. The exercises bring freshness to the body and the brain into a state of fully conscious rest. Deep relaxation not only relieves common ailments such as stress and nervousness, but also aims to raise to consciousness the forces that lie in the unconscious. In sleep therapy I use recordings of delta and theta waves, as they are also used in sleep laboratories, to set an impulse and stimulate these states. The limbic system of our brain is put into a highly active state by theta waves and improves our subconscious experiences, emotions and moods. You will feel a bit more comfortable and secure. Through repetition, your brain learns to trigger these states of consciousness on its own, which means a profound change in your stress management. Scientists believe that theta waves have the following effects: -They reduce stress and alleviate anxiety. -They promote deep relaxation and mental clarity. -They improve verbal skills and expressiveness. -They synchronize the two hemispheres of the brain. -They promote vivid, spontaneous visualizations and creative thinking. -Reduce the sensation of pain, increase feelings of happiness and stimulate the release of endorphins. How do the waves work? You may know, if you want to make a guitar string vibrate without touching it, you do it by simply creating the same resonant frequency with a tuning fork, for example. And that's how it works with this: the alpha, delta, and theta waves that I've included in the therapy stimulate your brain to tune into that wave frequency. You create the conditions for yourself to produce these frequencies again for a long time. Sleep researchers from the Psychological Institute of the University of Cologne were able to successfully prove these effects in a series of experiments with 170 subjects. Music: Relaxation is the secret of transformation. We will not be able to force a change, but only achieve it through a gentle path. The relaxation-promoting effect of music is one of the most intrinsic functions of this medium and has a stress-reducing potential, which has also been scientifically proven.

  • Fakten & Mythen: 12. Nach Oberammergau
    May 15 2021

    May 8 2021

Achtsamkeit
