High Times and Crimes in Throbbing Morton Sinopse

Throbbing Morton is a village in the English Cotswolds. Though there has been human habitation on the site for well over a thousand years, there is no record of it in the Domesday Book, and you will find it on no map today. Perhaps it is the boggy fields or the high hedges that have kept it out of public view. It might also have been the great fungal toenail epidemic of 1438 that kept the rest of the world at bay; no one knows for sure. The outcome of all this is that it has bred colorful characters of great distinction.

Norbert Dalrymple, for instance, very well known around the village itself but little known beyond its bounds. Always seeking to do the right thing, a certain native clumsiness interrupts his best endeavors. Gardenia Horsewhip, who found her way there following a disastrous attempt to rediscover the hippy lifestyle of her parents. The village has been a place of refuge for her. Jim Pluckett, a sober looking artist who cannot paint for toffee, but whose work is beloved in the William McGonagall tradition of misunderstood art. Then there is Little Pup, the determined daughter of a village ne'er-do-well who develops an unconventional way of helping her cash-strapped father. And finally, taking a step back into village history, the story of Harry Kane, whose actions were universally misunderstood at the time, but who we, and history, should judge more kindly.

These 5 Tales of Cheer have been designed to read over a cup of coffee, or whilst enjoying a hygge moment before a roaring log fire, or whilst seeking a moment of calm amidst the storms of life. Welcome to Throbbing Morton, a village that lies just over the next hill; a village of colorful characters waiting to tell you tales of some of its people, tales that have not yet been told, but which will uplift, inspire, and amuse.
