Now that Anthony’s existence has become known, numerous people of great importance are looking at Academy Island with interest - and some with malice. Among those are the seductive and secretive Selene Dracul - daughter of the Vampire Lord, Vlad Dracul - and Marianne Tepes, the young daughter of Elizabeth Tepes, another Vampire Lord but one who sues for peace between demons and humans. While Selene becomes a student at Anthony’s college, Marianne has gone missing. Lucretia Incanscino makes a request of Anthony. Find Marianne and escort her to Academy Island at all costs.

Despite Selene’s attempt at manipulating him, Anthony is back on his feet–thanks to Marianne. His new vampire roommate has been proving talented at not just housework, but also at helping him with other matters. It’s only a matter of time before he takes their relationship to the next level. The peace conference is coming up soon, and many dignitaries are arriving on Academy Island to re-sign the Demonic Covenant, the treatise that allows humans and demons to co-exist. But there are people working in the background who do not want peace, and will stop at nothing to destroy it.

The terrorist attack on the Peace Conference has left Academy Island in a precarious position. Distrust of them has begun to run rampant among other nations. To fix the problem, the board of directors has decided to give Anthony, the person who almost single-handedly saved the peace conference delegates during the terrorist attack, the illustrious position of president. However, Anthony has no desire to become president. All he wants is to bring his brother out of a coma.
