Martinez Kids Adventures

Their elderly Mexican neighbor Don Toño invites their family to join him in his virtual reality invention (hidden in an inconspicuous garden shed), which allows them to experience life as animals. Join the kids as they scamper through the trees as squirrels, swim through the oceans as dolphins, whales, and sharks, and swing through a Mexican rainforest as spider monkeys.

The Martinez kids have no idea that a sparkling frozen wasteland awaits them as they set off to Mexico to spend Navidad with their relatives. The spunky bilingual siblings already knew their neighbor Don Toño had invented a virtual reality shed, but they had no idea he had created a "to-go" version that would allow them to be whisked off to the Arctic from the comfort of their car seats.

"Doña Rosa needs our help." Rico straightened his feathered body and looked at them with round golden eyes. "I can do this." Eyeing the smoking hole in the ground, he jumped in. Rico, Diego, and Araceli Martinez had hoped to enjoy their spring break exploring virtual reality. However, the fun abruptly ends when their friend Don Toño takes his high-tech invention offline to work on a new adventure. Don Toño is out of town when a friend gets trapped in the mysterious shed. Realizing they are the only ones who can help, the kids bravely venture into virtual reality.

On the last rainy day of vacation, a mysterious puzzle appears at the Martinez family's cabin. Rico, Diego, and Araceli quickly discover that it can turn them into animals through virtual reality! Even more exciting: It contains a treasure hunt through the Northwoods of Minnesota. From the birthplace of the Mississippi River to the remote Boundary Waters, Minnesota's unique beauty and diverse wildlife carry many new experiences. The kids must work together to solve riddles and help the local animals… some of whom have their own complicated personalities.
