Reset Series

ISIS delivered a devastating attack, crippling not just one city, as on 9-11, but the entire country. The government, while disbursing critical supplies, decided that this was an excellent time to consolidate power, and for one senator, the chance to lock in the presidency. An opportunity to bring the right-wing, anti-federal-government gun fanatics to heel. The government moved quickly to disarm the populace, using control of food and fuel as weapons, but things did not go quite as expected.

In this book, the initial devastating attack described in book one is basically complete, and the government is struggling with control, while individuals and families deal with a now lawless, fuel-less country with poor communication and increasing risk of starvation. There are only nine meals between civilization and anarchy, it has been said. And so it is, as we are well past nine meals.

Reset book three, The Survival, shows the transition as families and neighborhoods are forced to either fight one another or work together to defend themselves against not only the increasingly powerful gangs, but an equally powerful, and equally ruthless government. The issue has now just become one of survival. Still, others are working towards the bigger picture, attempting to return to the type of country only a few people still remember. In a matter of months, entirely new cultures are forming.

In book four, the people have had enough, now standing up and fighting for their families, fighting to protect their communities, and fighting back against a corrupt federal government, but the revolt will not be without cost. In this final book of the four-part Reset series, the conflict is forced to come to a resolution, one which would either lead to a renewal of the country, or plunge it back into a civil war between those that were part of the original government, and those that were fed up with the corruption of those in the ruling class.
