After a brutal introduction to sex leaves Prince Philippe stunned and in pain, the young Monsieur meets his namesake, Philippe, the Chevalier d’Lorraine. In the other Philippe, the prince finds a kind and kindred spirit and falls instantly in love. Although younger than the prince, the chevalier is possessed with confidence and knowledge beyond his years. His gentle hand assures the prince that love is possible after all.
Philippe and Philippe are both historical figures who lived in 17th century France. This story reflects the realities of the time frame while focusing on the M/M relationship between the prince and the chevalier. During this period of history, homosexuality was illegal in France, and punishable by death. But as brother to the king, Philippe enjoyed more leniency than a common man.
