Sinopse
Note: This interview contains some discussion of sexual assault.
Joining us at Audible Studios is supermodel, actor and New York Times best-selling author, Emily Ratajkowski.
Launching to fame after the infamous 2013 'Blurred Lines' music video, Emily Ratajkowski has made a name for herself as a formidable fashion model, walking for Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu and Versace, to name but a few. She has regularly been listed as 'sexiest female', 'woman of the year' and 'hottest sex symbol', but Ratajkowski is far more than her appearance. She is a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, and a political activist, endorsing Bernie Sanders. She has also starred in several feature films, such as Entourage, Welcome Home, and Gone Girl.
During her time in the spotlight, Ratajkowski has grappled with what feminism means to her, how she commodifies her body, and how different power dynamics play out in her industry and beyond. This has led her to write a book, a series of essays titled My Body. In this interview she speaks to Holly Newson about the book, these themes, and her life experiences from 'Blurred Lines' to recording the My Body audiobook.
