Sinopse
A Human Resources Director reveals what goes on behind the closed doors of the Human Resources Department. He tells of the raunchy, humorous and bizarre acts of men and women in the workplace. He shows compassion and a knack for creative solutions that improve conditions for company and crew. He fires sexual predators. He puts his job at risk to keep worthy staff. But then he crosses the line with a married woman, his subordinate—resulting in crushing consequences.
The things portrayed in the story are graphic and shocking, while at the same time being a realistic example of what takes place at work. Some people have commented they were not aware that the things described in the book were actually taking place in some workplaces. But then, other people have given examples of events they experienced that were similar to what is in the book.
Listeners that have experienced harassment and discrimination are cautioned that several of the events in the story are graphic and could trigger memories of past experiences. This may be difficult for some listeners. HR Behind Closed Doors is only suitable for adult listeners because the story contains sex and profanity. Just like the real world.
Most of this story takes place in and around Mantorville, Minnesota, a community the author has come to love and cherish.
