  • Finding Happiness with Hugh Van Cuylenberg
    Feb 27 2023

Today's episode is the perfect way to kick-start your 2023! I'm joined by the fabulous Ella Sheehan who gifted me one of my all-time favourite books; 'The Resilience Project: Finding Happiness through Gratitude, Empathy & Mindfulness (GEM).

This book has the potential to change your life and mine, so we decided to touch on some key parts of the book, GEM, and how we have incorporated these skills into our lives.

Encompassing Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness can lower stress, anxiety and depression and therefore improve quality of life and optimism.

I strongly encourage you to read Hugh's book and really immerse yourself in the emotions and insight he provides.

Trigger Warning this episode does talk about eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa)

  • Falling In & Out of Love with Exercise
    Apr 3 2022

Whether you're a sports fanatic or gym junkie, everyone encounters exercise throughout their lives. Growing up and to this day I know myself and a lot of my friends love exercising, however, sometimes we can lose track of why exercise is so important for our bodies, mentally and physically.

In today's episode, I am joined by Pat Stanely, a PT at my gym who shares his story and the positive and negative relationships he has had with exercise. He touches on how exercise has helped him alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, and heartbreak, whilst recovering from body dysmorphia and an eating disorder. Being a gym gal myself I thought it would also be interesting to see how gym culture for boys differs from girls.

Remember exercise is a CELEBRATION of what our bodies can do!

  • From Plaid Skirts to the Real World: Part 1
    Feb 19 2022

In this episode, I'm joined by three of my closest childhood friends Jade, Abbey and Bella where we have a little bit of a chat about our different experiences when transitioning from High School to University. Part 1 of the episode starts off with us reminiscing about how we felt when graduating from high school and the responsibilities which come with growing up. Our conversation ranges from learning to double-check your assignment actually submitted, to the power stereotyping can have on people and soaking up that freedom whilst you are young.
