• #248 - This is why your offer isn't selling (and how to fix it)
    Feb 18 2025

There are only ever two reasons why your courses aren't selling.

Number one, you are simply not getting enough eyeballs on your offers in an affordable way.

And number two, your offer is not a hell's yes, which means it sells with ease and with profit, no matter really what you're doing with it.

If you think your problem might be number two, I’ve got good news! Today I’m breaking down what’s causing this stagnation, and how you can fix it!

When I say "hell's yes," I mean an offer that sells with ease and profit. It's the kind of product or service that people don't just purchase at the beginning and end of a promotion but all throughout. Imagine the rush of seeing consistent sales rolling in. That's the dream!

To achieve this goal, all you need to do is make sure your offer checks these three boxes:

    1. It Must Feel Great for You
    2. It Must Feel Great for Your Clients
    3. It Must Make Sense for Your Business

It's not enough to just get one or two of these pillars right, you need to find a balance between all three or issues will come up. For instance, if your offer feels great for you and your business but not your clients, sales will suffer.

Get it right, though, and the transformation is incredible. Just look at the client of mine who improved her sales from a few a month to dozens a week!

Imagine the difference it could make in your business.

  • #247 - How to get your first 500 subscribers - Step by step action plan
    Feb 11 2025

Trying to sell anything online when you don’t have an audience is like shouting into the void.

The only way to make that work is if you’ve got a massive budget to throw around, and honestly, who does?!

    But don’t despair!

Today I want to share with you an easy, three-step plan to get your first 500 email subscribers, so you can start making waves - all without spending a cent!

Your first task today is creating an irresistible lead magnet that stands out. You might also call it an 'opt-in bribe' because, let’s be honest, we’re basically ‘bribing’ people to join our email list, and here’s the key: Make it juicy! Something so valuable people can't help but sign up.

Then it’s time to use my 'Beg, Borrow, Pay' framework.

Step 1 - Beg: Reach out personally to friends, family, and colleagues who might be interested in what you're doing and ask them to share it. This step can feel uncomfortable but if you ask sincerely and make the process easy, people are often more than willing to help!

Step 2 - Borrow: Once you’ve got some traction, it’s time to commit to a routine of sharing your lead magnet three times a day across various platforms - Facebook groups, LinkedIn groups, Reddit threads, anywhere your ideal customer might be hanging out.

Phase 3 - Pay: Re-invest a portion of your initial revenue back into your strategy. Consider running Facebook ads for your freebie, allowing your list to grow more rapidly and begin paying for itself.

So, there you have it, my three-step framework for skyrocketing your subscriber count to 500+ quickly and without breaking the bank.

I’d love to hear how it works for you, so please reach out on Instagram @HelloFunnels if you give it a try.

Until next time, happy list building!

  • #246 - How I made $5k a week from my dead instagram account
    Feb 4 2025

Have you ever felt trapped in Instagram jail? Like the algorithm is out to get you? Or like social media is just a big waste of time?

I’ve been there, and I know how frustrating it can be when no matter what you try, or how hard you work, you can’t get your follower count to grow. Then came last year, when I decided to give it one last try, and I posted something completely different.

Suddenly, my engagement shot up to the heavens, and we kept riding that wave ever since. So let’s talk about the three big changes that made a difference:

    • Changing My Mindset
    • Updating My Offers
    • Building Simple Funnels

To keep this momentum going I then revamped the type of content I was posting. I researched and experimented to find three types of post that really resonated with the audience I wanted to attract.

    • Possibility Posts
    • Behind the Scenes
    • Problem Solving

The ultimate trick here was to fill my posts with intrigue that invited people to engage and delve deepr. This means leaving some things out, so they’d need to click a link, or download my content to satisfy their curiosity.

If you’re feeling trapped with a static social media account, I hope this post has given you some guidance and inspiration on how you can transform it into a thriving venture.

  • #245 - How I grew my list from 0 to 20K in the first year for free
    Jan 28 2025

You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you that I went from zero to twenty thousand plus email subscribers in my very first year of business without spending a cent on ads.

But it's true, and today I want to share the steps I took to make the impossible a reality so you can apply them in your own business.

Step One: Believe it or not, my initial email subscribers came from my personal contacts. I told them exactly what I was doing and gave them an easy way to opt out. From there, I asked if they would be willing to share my content with five friends, my list quickly swelled to around 200 subscribers. So don’t underestimate the power of your existing network!

Step Two: As a journalist, I’d had many brands reach out to me for help expanding their reach, and it worked wonders! So I started writing content for other people so I could tap into their audience. Blogging isn’t as much of a thing these day, but podcasts are a great modern-day equivalent for getting infront of more people who will appreciate your work.

Step Three: My biggest breakthrough came with my first joint venture - when I was approached to participate in a massive online giveaway. We pooled resources to create an enticing prize and everyone promoted it to their respective lists. Harnessing the power of combined audiences, I was able to grow my subscriber list by more than 10,000 in one fell swoop.

With these three steps, and not a single dollar spent on ads, I was able to amass over 20,000 subscribers in my first year. So if you’re beginning your journey, don’t fall for the belief that you have to pay to be successful. You can build your audience from scratch, all it takes is hard work, dedication and collaboration!

  • #244 - What to do every day, week + month to scale in 2025
    Jan 21 2025

Imagine waking up every day, knowing exactly what you need to do to propel your business forward.

It might sound too good to be true, but it’s totally achievable and today I’m breaking down the simple steps you can take to make it happen.

But before you can get started with planning, you need a reliable and consistent way to sell your offers. I spoke about this in a recent episode, but to put it simply: you need to be able to predict your conversion rate with a high degree of accuracy.

For example, if you can confidently say that putting 100 people through your sales process yields 10 sales, you’re already in a good place. Your next step? Simply find ways to increase that number of prospects. There are lots of ways to do that, but the right approach is usually a mix of paid ads, social media, and borrowed audiences.

Once you've identified how you’re going to build your audience, it's time to break your plan down into manageable, scheduled tasks. I set aside 40 minutes each morning for daily tasks, about two hours each Friday for weekly tasks, and two days each month for the bigger planning work.

Once these tasks are outlined, they’re easily manageable and allow you to focus on scaling your business without feeling torn between commitments.

If you found this episode helpful, please share with a friend or give us a thumbs-up or review—every bit helps us reach more entrepreneurs like you.

  • #241 - Steal my end of year ritual
    Dec 31 2024

We are taking a quick break for the holidays! While we are on break, we have picked out your favourite episodes from 2025, and are running them again for you. If you missed them the first time around, now is your opportunity to give them another listen!

We’re approaching the end of the year, and I have a specific end-of-year ritual that I’m sharing with you today. You’re more than welcome to steal this very simple ritual, which will not only help you finish the year with a positive mindset, but will help you in the planning phase for the following year.

To really make the most of this process, I recommend finding a comfortable and inspiring space outside of your usual work environment. Whether it's a park, a cozy café, or your favourite corner of your home, choose a place where you can unwind and allow your thoughts to flow freely.

    1. Celebrate Your Wins: Reflecting on all your wins, big and small. Did someone you admire follow you back on Instagram? Did you write an email that you were incredibly proud of? Celebrate every single achievement. Take a moment to acknowledge your progress and savour those victorious moments. You'll be surprised by how much positivity this exercise brings.
    2. Embrace the Lessons: Think about the lessons you've learned throughout the year.. Each one has contributed to your growth and will propel your business forward.
    3. Recognise your Improvements: Appreciate the areas in which you've improved or upleveled your business. Celebrate these significant upgrades, even if they overlap with the lessons you've learned.
    4. Identify Areas for Growth: Consider the aspects of your business or skills that you'd like to improve in the coming year. These goals will guide your future plans and help you achieve greater success.
    5. Set Three Meaningful Goals: Envision three goals—ambitious and exciting—that you want to accomplish in the new year. Choose goals that excite you and feel within reach, while still pushing your limits.

Once you've written everything down, take a deep breath, read over your notes, and make any necessary refinements. Consider this draft as the foundation for your future planning endeavours.
