Emphasizing the heroic roles they played in the tortuous journey leading to the creation of a Jewish homeland in Israel, the listener is introduced to a Jewish Canadian airman, a young Jewish California lawyer, a survivor of Auschwitz and Buchenwald, a soldier grievously injured, and a German engineer.
