The year, 1973, was a pivotal year for UFO sightings. In 1973: A Time of UFO Sightings, Landings and Abductions, the history of these sightings, and the importance of them, is explored. It was a time of unprecedented landings, with beings from inside the craft seen outside gathering samples of the local flora and fauna. But the most significant differences were the tales of alien abduction, with the best documented of those cases being that reported by Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker.

On November 2, 1957, a glowing, egg-shaped object was seen around the West Texas town of Levelland, USA. Multiple witnesses at multiple locations reported their cars stalled at the close approach of the UFO. Over a two-hour period, the object terrorized the witnesses.
