Summer vacation has begun, and Malachi, Elizajane, Noah, and Elias are bored out of their minds. Playing pig pile doesn’t help. Neither does banging one’s face on the grass. What to do, what to do? They are lucky enough to play baseball against the greatest players the game had ever seen. With dedication and hard work, the kids make a load of progress on the field. There are a few things, however, which might ensure they embarrass themselves during the games. It’s a good thing Elias and Malachi have a surprise ready. Malachi, Elizajane, Noah, and Elias had the best Saturday ever, playing baseball on a magic diamond with the game’s greatest. But if they wanted to hold their own with the other players, they would have to get better quickly. “Coach” Malachi takes them through all kinds of drills to improve strength, accuracy, and mental awareness. During practice, the kids learn the value of hard work, and dedication, as well as an appreciation for our national pastime. And they are certainly rewarded for it on the magic diamond!
