Jack and his mother have only one old cow. Jack trades the cow for a handful of beans, and his mother becomes so angry that she throws the beans out the window. Overnight the beans grow into a huge beanstalk. Jack climbs the beanstalk and finds a giant at the top. Jack sees that the giant has a goose that lays golden eggs. Jack grabs the goose and returns to his surprised mother. Jack returns to the top of the beanstalk and barely escapes. He chops down the beanstalk, and the giant is never heard from again.

When the tortoise challenges the rabbit to a race, everyone thinks it is a joke. The race begins, and the rabbit moves out quickly. Before he gets to the finish line, he decides to take a rest. The rabbit falls asleep, and the slow-moving turtle passes him up and wins the race. Fully narrated with music and voice.

A young boy named Aladdin is approached by a wicked magician and is asked to go into a cave and search for a magic lamp. Aladdin tricks the magician and keeps the lamp for himself. He uses the power of the lamp to marry a beautiful princess. The wicked magician gets the lamp back and uses the power to move the princess far away. Aladdin finds the prince and again tricks the wicked magician and gets the lamp back.

A fun book about opposites. Catchy tune-in-rhyme. A great way to introduce the concept.

The Little Mermaid rescues a young prince from a shipwreck. She begs her father to let her become human so she can find the prince she had rescued. Her father gets angry and refuses. In desperation, she gets the wicked sea witch to make her human, and the sea witch agrees.
