Six orphans are suddenly drawn into a comic book of fairy tales. In this comic book world, they have magical powers that they use to try to restore the original artwork that the evil Paint Thinner and Eraser have distorted. Our heroes meet up with Hansel and Gretel, Jack (of the beanstalk), and Cinderella. Since they themselves have become two-dimensional, the comic book world looks natural to them. But they soon discover that there are different physical laws in this land of two dimensions.

There are many characters in this modern fairytale, but one major one seems to be Anna, a spoiled, beautiful party girl. She is not yet famous, except for the fact that she has grown up in a privileged family, is addicted to shopping, and hangs out in clubs regularly.
