Sobre este áudio
We now have 40 percent of our population with diabetes, prediabetes, and obesity. Something is wrong. For about the last 5000 years, we have not had this epidemic of these metabolic diseases. What happened? For me to explain that to you, I must teach you some metabolism and nutrition. I fully expect you to have common sense, but technical knowledge is not required. I will explain what you need to know.
I give you the basics on the different diabetes, but am going to concentrate on why you have Type 2 diabetes and what to do about it. I will explain what happens when you eat and when you don't eat. Type 2 diabetes usually follows obesity and prediabetes. If you have real diabetes, I will not be able to cure you, but I will be able to help you manage it. If you have prediabetes, we might be able to prevent the progression to Type 2 diabetes. If you have obesity, I am a little more confident we can fix it.
I will go through how you got to where you are and what can be done. I will tell you up front you are going to have to change your diet. Although I will give you the general guidelines for the maintenance diet, I will not tell you specifically what to eat. I may tell you what not to eat or at least diminish eating, but again I count on your common sense.
This is part of a four-book series including The Ketogenic Diet, Fasting and Autophagy, Maintenance Diet for the Modern Man, and Bread in the Modern Diet. (I know this is really five). These books have all been combined in a giant book, Diet and Health.
